Fun In Fargo For Your Wedding Guests

wedding fargo north dakota

As wedding destinations go, Fargo in North Dakota is a gem. If you have loved ones coming from near and far they will find the city buzzing with lots to see and do. Don't worry about your guests leading up to the wedding day. They will be having endless adventures in Fargo.

This wedding videographer is always happy to work in Fargo. I've been there many times for work and personal trips and every time is fun and exciting. Let me share some of the places I can personally recommend in Fargo which some of your guests might like to check out.

Movie buffs must visit the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center, where you can see the original woodchopper film prop from the movie Fargo. Expect to grab some funny Instagram shots at this cool tourist attraction. More photo ops can be found at The Fargo Theatre. The stunning historic building dates back to the 1920s and is especially impressive at night, with the neon light glowing.

The city has a vibrant arts and culture scene with painted trains, street murals, performances, bright bison statues and many more eye-catching sights around every corner. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised with this city that turns on the charm, especially during the summer months.

A city like this has fab food and drink options as you would expect. Gather your besties before the wedding day for celebratory drinks at the Fargo Brewing Company. Artisan beers paired with fresh food in a warm atmosphere are just what you need. Look out for the iconic food trucks that serve up the best street food you've ever had. You can find all kinds of restaurants in Fargo, from Mexican to BBQ to Asian to American classic dishes.

Then when you need to work it off, the outdoor recreation in Fargo is outstanding. In summer, try kayaking or fish on the river dividing North Dakota and Minnesota, go cycling or roam pretty parks. The great outdoors is equally exciting in winter, with skiing and ice skating being really popular. The Thunder Road Family Fun Park is great for families with kids and adults who also get into the go-karts, golf, bumper cars and arcades. There are also a couple of skate parks in the city.

The Fargo Air Museum is filled with aircraft and interactive displays for aviation lovers. The museum inside two hangers is near the airport so it could be a fascinating stop for guests on their way home once you are husband and wife!

Fargo has plenty of accommodation options in all budget ranges. To start, here are some good deals with matching service.

  • Radisson Blu Fargo

  • Jasper Hotel

  • Delta Hotels by Marriott Fargo

  • C'mon Inn Fargo

  • Best Western Plus Kelly Inn and Suites

This is just the beginning of what Fargo has to offer. You are guaranteed a great time in this lively city, so rest assured you have chosen a great destination for your nuptials.
